"Endless Piano generates endless, seamless MIDI piano compositions by chaining musical segments through embedding-based similarity search. Built on midisimx — a greatly improved fork of the original midisim — it performs fast cosine-similarity top-K matching between the outros and intros of over one million musical sequences, drawn from the high quality Annotated MIDI Songs dataset, whose section annotations were made possible by SongFormer (ASLP-lab). A diverse nearest-neighbor sampling strategy — near-duplicate filtering, redundancy penalties, and cluster-weighted selection — ensures fresh, non-repetitive results, while graceful hard cuts and reseeding keep the music flowing indefinitely. Each generation is rendered to playable audio, a score plot, and a downloadable MIDI file with a single click."
